[VIDEO] Polock: “Fireworks”

“Fireworks” was one of my favorite songs from last year and with good reason. These guys sound a ton like Phoenix: they’re catchy, have smartly written guitar parts and even have similar voices. To keep the good news rolling, you’ll be happy to know that they’re playing SXSW too. Check ’em out and definitely check out the video!

[VIDEO] Lil Wayne: “6 Foot 7 Foot”

Apparently Inception was the first movie Lil Wayne saw when he got out of prison. Here’s the studio version/official video of the track Lil Wayne played on Saturday Night Live. It sounds great. It’s probably the first song of Wayne’s that I liked the production — which is odd because I bet it annoys a fair number of people.

Check out Wayne’s performance of “6 Foot 7 Foot” on SNL after the jump.

[VIDEO] Obits: “You Gotta Lose”

BV premiered this video from Obits’ new record Moody, Standard and Poor. I’ve been playing that one a ton lately, and this video is a nice compliment to their rapid-fire pace. If you’re itching for some vaguely-accessible punk or need something to play after the Stooges on your college radio show, go with the new Obits record.
