Beach Fossils, Lightning Bolt and Low, oh my!

Lightning Bolt

While I’m a huge proponent of supporting Lexington’s music scene, the ‘ville is killing it this week, with at least four shows I really want to attend (of which I will likely attend approximately zero, seeing as how I somehow left my voice at the Ween show in Nashville last week).

In their debut production week, new Louisville promotion company OK Productions is presenting not one but three great shows:

Grails/Softcheque/Nathan Salsburg
at Zanzabar in Louisville
Tuesday, April 19 (tonight!)
$5 | 21+ | 9 p.m.

Beach Fossils/Craft Spells/Nzambi
at Zanzabar in Louisville
Friday, April 22
$7 | 21+ | 8 p.m.

Lightning Bolt/Natives/Straight As/Ed Shrader’s Music Beat (regular Dan Deacon collaborators)
at Cahoots in Louisville
Easter Sunday, April 24
$5 | 21+ | 9 p.m.

Also, champions of the slowest, loudest, most heartwrenchingingly beautiful songs you’ve ever heard, LOW will be performing at Headliner’s this Friday in support of their freshly release LP “C’Mon.” Reclusive Louisville post-rock collective King’s Daughters and Sons, featuring members of Shipping News, Rachel’s and Dead Child, will open.

Low/King’s Daughters and Sons
at Headliner’s in Louisville
Friday, April 22
$12 adv/$15 DOS | 18+ | 8 p.m.
