I love this song. It’s maybe the first song I’ve heard this year that I know I’ll play over and over again until everyone is around me is sick of it (and then I’ll play it some more). “Royals” talks about Lorde’s attitude listening to songs about excessive riches when she’s more grounded. She’s got lofty goals, but they’re found in friendship, love and fun.
