Thao is one of those artists that I always forget how much I love until they put out a new record and it reminds me. “We The Commons (For Valerie Bolden)” is the title-ish track off Thao’s upcoming record We The Commons. It’s folkish in that there’s some creative banjo and simple drumming, but it’s more in line with her other melody-driven pop work.
