I would never have picked Dinosaur Feathers to open for the Jesus and Mary Chain in a million years, but it worked well. Of course, I’m coming to the JAMC show from the indie-rock side of their influence, so it made sense that I’d enjoy the band. They had a Menomena-like level of individual talent and (seemingly) diverse range of influences between the band members. And just like Menomena, they came across as a fantastic, united sound. I’d love to study up on this group and take in another show by them. I think that’d make this great thing even sweeter.
