I have so many thoughts about Skrillex’s show at Bonnaroo, but all of them can be summed up easily. Simply put, his show was not for people like me. But I was clearly the odd man out, as he had possibly the biggest late night crowd I’ve ever seen at Bonnaroo. Thousands and thousands of people were there to dance, throw glowsticks and lose themselves to his beats. As an outsider, it made for an odd show.

His stage setup was unique, though. The spaceship that surrounded him looked like it could have come from a cutscene from Starfox 64. If you’re tied to your laptop/sampler/keyboard or other stationary object, having a crazy setting for it can really help keep the show interesting (just ask Daft Punk).
