Annie Clark must be an incredibly hard worker. It seems that every so often she disappears for about half a year and returns with an incredible new album and a vastly improved live show. It’s hard to believe that she could keep improving on her live show, but the set I caught at Bonnaroo proves that trend is still continuing. This was the first time I’d seen her at a non-daytime show in a while — the darkness suited her new show.

I couldn’t stick around long enough to catch Annie’s now-infamous stage diving during “KROKODIL,” but the rest of her show was still intense. She’s got the exact kind of drama I love in a live show; she really sells each song to you in a way worthy of being called a performance. I just can’t get enough St Vincent on record or on the stage.
