Little Dragon @ Bonnaroo 6.8.12

I knew next to nothing about Little Dragon going into their set, but decided to check them out on a friend’s recommendation. Their live show was a great blend of the Tom Tom Club’s 80s funk, 90s R&B and Enon’s electro-pop/asian vocalist combo. They weren’t the most mobile of bands, but what they lacked in visual madness they made up for with a well-crafted sonic offering.

I saw them open up for Red Hot Chili Peppers in Cincinnati and thought they had the coolest light show of any opening act I’ve seen. All I knew about them before the show was the singer worked with the Gorillaz on Plastic Beach

Nice! I didn’t know they’d collaborated. I’ll have to check that one out. And yeah, nice lights. I chalked that up to Bonnaroo, but I guess I was wrong!
