I’ve never been the biggest Titus Andronicus fan, but they do put on a good live show. They started things off by saying everyone in the audience was just there to hear Jesus and Mary Chain’s noise. They made the amps feed back a bit and lead singer Patrick Stickles said “You like this, don’t you? This pleases you.” From there they jumped into several high-energy tracks. They thanked Paste late in their set for being so kind to the group’s last album. That was a particularly nice hat-tip that you don’t see very often at SXSW.
