Friday: Richard Buckner @ Cosmic Charlie’s with Ancient Warfare (9pm, 18+, $12/$15)
A leading light in the alternative country movement, Richard Buckner favors lyrically dense acoustic laments reminiscent of Townes Van Zandt.
Friday: Devine Carama presents Brown Sugar Hip -Hop Showcase (10pm, $5)
If you like hip-hop of the local persuasion, make sure you go to Al’s for Devine Carama’s showcase.

Saturday: Sunday Valley’s Big Ol’ Covoy @ Cosmic Charlie’s with Your News Vehicles and Buffalo Clover (10pm, 18+, $8)
Sunday Valley is a well-oiled country music machine and is sure to delight at a venue they are more than at home with.

<p>The record store institution, CD Central, is blessing Lexington this weekend with two shows. The first is R. Ring, who feature the legendary Kelley Deal.</p>
<p>Also, later that day they will be playing at The Green Lantern with The Swells (9:30pm, 21+)</p>

Sunday: Wanda Jackson @ CD Central (5pm, FREE, all ages)
The second CD Central show is Wanda Jackson, the “Queen of Rockabilly” and a true pioneer of sorts.
Also, later that day she will be playing with Greg Garing and Fifth on the Floor at Buster’s (9pm, $18 adv/$20 dos, 18+)
