Here’s the hook: this is the best post-White Stripes garage band that I’ve heard doing what is essentially what I loved about the White Stripes (OK, Sleeper Agent might beat ‘em, but it’s close). The clarification: The Dirty Feathers’ Midnight Snakes album is incredibly diverse and I’ve cherry-picked the two garage rock tracks — both of which sound like the White Stripes to varying degrees. These are two incredible tracks, but their entire album is a ton of fun.
