The Deloreans do the Pulp Fiction soundtrack @ Cosmic Charlies 10.29.11
November 3rd, 2011 by Matt

The only people in the building who were more excited for the Deloreans’ cover of the Pulp Fiction soundtrack than I was were the Deloreans themselves. Their enthusiasm for the cover set showed not only in their costumes (everyone from Jules and Vincent to the Wolf and the one all my friends kept calling “Eric Stoltz’s character” — Lance, to save you the trouble of a google search), but also their inclusion of fun bits like the beginning of the diner robbery and the Jack Rabbit Slim’s dance contest.
But all that enthusiasm would have been for nothing if it wasn’t for the incredible performance they put on. Their horn section, guitar change-ups and great voices allowed them to do versions that were pretty spot-on for the wide variety of tunes on the soundtrack. Cheyenne Mize even came out (still “pantsless” as PJ Harvey, as the band pointed out) to sing lead vocals on “Son of a Preacher Man.”
