R Stevie Moore was the act that convinced me that the 2011 Boomslang organizers had done a good job booking the festival. This prolific psych-rocker lives just a few hours away but has never played in Lexington (at least to my knowledge). But he and his band put on a fantastic show at Natasha’s on the closing day of Boomslang. I knew only a few of his songs, but everything he played was incredible. Luckily I did get to hear my favorite song of his, “I Like to Stay Home,” before it all came to an end.

We’ve got to get this guy to play Lexington more often!
