Unlike other americana acts that I enjoy, I doubt I could ever get tired of seeing Neko Case live. I’ve only seen her a couple of times, but it seems there are no diminishing returns on her show. Her show at Pitchfork wasn’t the flashiest or most powerful set of the festival, but it was one that resonated with me pretty well. During her set I chose to sit off to the side of the stage and focus on the audio rather than the visual experience of the festival. I think it was a pretty smart move. If there was any “stop and take it in” artist at the festival, it was Neko Case.
