Deer Tick: “Blew”
I had heard a bit about Deer Tick becoming “Deervana” to do some Nirvana covers at SXSW. “Incredible,” I thought. Then I found out that they’d done this before. Then I found out they’d done this a lot. Apparently you’d probably have to beg Deer Tick not to bust out a Nirvana cover at one of their shows. But why would you? These are fantastic!
Here are two Nirvana covers from SXSW. After the break you’ll find seven more covers from their recent tours.
And if you love Deer Tick, be sure to check out the new Middle Brother record. It’s a ton of fun and sure to be one of my favorites of the year.
