The performers at the 53rd Grammys were pretty clearly divided between ‘fantastic’ and ‘forgettable.’ One clearly on the great side of the fence was Cee-Lo’s performance of “Fuck You.” Paltrow aside, the performance was incredible — and even moreso when you realize that the entire thing was a tribute/reference to Elton John’s 1977 performance of “Crocodile Rock,” backed by the Electric Mayhem, on the Muppet Show.
