Though obviously I would have preferred to have known about them longer, it turns out that I didn’t really pick a bad time to become a Seedy Seeds fan. You see, they’ve got an album coming out this spring called Verb Noun and it’s gonna be goooood.

The title track to Verb Noun is catchy, sweet and pretty tender. Really you probably couldn’t do much better as an introduction into the Seedy Seeds. It’s almost too well produced, though, as I’m having trouble mentally separating its dense layering into individual parts. I know there’s a strong violin and banjo present, but other than that it’s just a rush of delight that I won’t try very hard to pick apart.
