Here’s a mixed bag of news for you. Forecastle has cancelled their 2011 festival in Louisville, which would have been the fest’s 10th, but has partnered up with AC Entertainment to make 2012 their biggest year yet. You may know AC Entertainment from their established festivals Bonnaroo, Moogfest and Big Ears. Having them involved in Forecastle is a really huge deal. All three festivals are highly curated — there’s no trash on any of their lineups.

To bridge the gap between festivals, the Halfway to Forecastle event will be moved to early July and slightly expanded. It says it’ll be an indoor/outdoor event, so I’m guessing Headliner’s with an outdoor stage.
