Thanks to This Is Somewhere for posting this video of Grace Potter tackling “Golden” by former tour partners My Morning Jacket. It’s not the first time she’s done it, but I can’t imagine the first being much better than this. In Kentucky, this track’s pretty much reached classic status — so Grace is unlikely to find a tougher crowd than the people in my area code. But even with that, she’s churned out a fantastic cover that made my day.

Have you heard Grace’s one off ode to Jim’s pneumonia? It’s called “Get Better Mr. James”. I’ll dig it up for you if you’re interested . . .
And this version is definitely better than the first.

K Cortez I would like to hear that… I’m kind of indifferent about Grace Potter but I’m a huge MMJ fan. didn’t know they toured together…i’ll have to open myself back up to her i guess. still iffy about it all though. i’m not a fan of anything mainstream.
