Of Montreal’s Davey Pierce has done it again with the latest track from his Yip Deceiver solo project. I’m not exactly sure what his plan is, since he’s been giving the songs away for free, but it’s working. I’m already a fan and looking forward to the full product.

Can these be the official theme song of the comments section of Brooklyn Vegan? I don’t know if Davey’s responding to Of Montreal haters (which is possible, given the mixed reception False Priest is getting) or some personal foe, but either way it’s inspired a good stiff-upper-lip track. It’s not as ballsy as fellow Georgian Cee-Lo’s “Fuck You,” but it’s certainly in the same neighborhood. More of a “the best revenge is living well” philosophy to it, though.
