Local Natives @ Pitchfork 7.18.10
July 25th, 2010 by Matt

I will never get tired of watching Local Natives, and here’s why: there will always be people at the show who have never seen Local Natives and those are the people that make their shows so enjoyable. Seeing all those young minds get blown by how great Local Natives are constantly makes my day. And really, it’s pretty much inevitable that they’re going to put on a fantastic show. Local Natives are explosive, powerful and a guaranteed good time.

I think I need to be one of the “young minds” the next time they play in Austin then…it’s been awhile since I’ve been “blown away” by a band that I wasn’t already aware of.
“Local Natives”. I’ll remember them…and when I make it to one of their performances, I’ll be back to let you know “damage/status report”. =)

They were the first show I saw at Bonnaroo this year, and I’d never heard them before despite being aware of them. They converted me after one song, a great atmosphere in the crowd as well, everyone was visibly enjoying the show.
