Speaking of bands that are always consistent and always spectacular… Ted Leo! It’s been a while since I’ve gotten to see any more than a handful of TL/Rx songs live, so Forecastle was a very welcome opportunity. I’ve been loving his new album, the Brutalist Bricks, and those new songs are even better live.

I stayed there for a while, but eventually had to move on. I don’t know if he did later, but at least while I was there we didn’t get any of Ted’s famous covers. But hey, when your own songs are super awesome, why break out anyone else’s?
