I don’t know who’s going to coin the best term for it, but I’m really enjoying this wave of simple, sunshiney retro-pop like Cults and Tennis. “Marathon” jumps a little closer to the reverb and lo-fi movement, but it’s still just a hand-clapping pop song through and through.
