Man, here’s another one that I didn’t even know was on the horizon. Cotton Jones have snuck up on me with this new track “Glorylight and Christie,” which they premiered over at Paste the other day. Check it out, enjoy, etc.

It starts out as a Beach House-esque beautiful pop drone, but then switches over to Michael’s vocals for a distinctly more americana vibe. I don’t know that this is for sure my favorite Cotton Jones track, but it’s up there. Every forty seconds or so it opens up a new fold of its simple structure and production so that by the time it ends the song has developed a great deal, but still doesn’t seem busy at all.
