When I opened my mail on Saturday, I let out a “whoa” when I saw that Antarctica Takes It! had mailed me a new record. I remembered loving their first album in 2006 (and the wider-released reissue in 2008, but never heard a peep out of them in the years since. Well, turns out they’ve been using the time wisely: saving up melodies for Constellations.

I really wish I could share a couple tracks from this album. Most especially I’d post the first song, which precedes “C & F” and flows into it perfectly. It’s a slower song, so when it jumps into the piano pep of “C & F,” it launches you forward in a really pleasing way. And my love for this track is fitting, since it seems on first listen to be a song about really, really digging on music.
