Smashing Pumpkins playing Forecastle Festival, all over

Forecastle announced their third headliner today in conjunction with the Smashing Pumpkins’ summer tour announcement. The Pumpkins are playing the Saturday of Forecastle, alongside Devo, Cake and Cap’n Jazz.

See, I don’t want a good Pumpkins show. That could only happen in 1993 or 94, anyway. I’m hoping to see the type of Billy Corgan psychotic breakdown/group therapy session he’s been known to do. I want to see him preach new age shit then flip the fuck out and invite a fan onstage to discuss why he sucks. That’s once in a lifetime stuff right there, and each meltdown is unique to that night and particular show. That’s where I’ll get my money’s worth.
