[WIN] an LP shopping spree with Of Montreal + Lex tickets!
It's been a while since Of Montreal came to Lexington. When they last rolled into our city,
it was 2006 and they were touring in advance of
Hissing Fauna. Now it's almost four years later and they're doing a short tour before the release of the album that all signs point toward being named
False Priest. So I knew I had to capitalize on this come up with a great way to promote the show, reward the fans and entertain the band. To that end, we've got this excellent contest.
The prize: The winner of this contest will get a $50 shopping spree at
CD Central (generously donated by CD Central and
Polyvinyl Records) guided by Of Montreal AND four tickets to their May 27 show at
Buster's. Two runners up will get a pair of tickets each and two more people will get one ticket each for their trouble.
To enter to win, leave a comment with a link to a photo (twitpic, etc are fine) of you with something mentioned in an Of Montreal song
I'll pick a winner on Monday, May 24 and email them to get it all arranged. So remember to fill out your email address when you leave a comment! The shopping spree will be with the Late BP Helium and maybe one or two other band members who want to join in. Unless something changes with the band's schedule, it's probably going to have to be 2pm on the day of the show (Thursday, May 27). So if you have flexibility on May 27 and can make it to the show that night in Lexington, take a (family friendly) shot of you with something mentioned in an Of Montreal song and cross your fingers for good luck!
