No Age @ Gumbo Ya Ya 4.24.10

I've never been the biggest No Age fan, which would explain why I wasn't able to convince myself to stay after one audience member started slinging beer around. Call me crazy, but it takes a lot to keep me at a concert once my hair and camera are soaked with beer. It was, however, a good show. I'd put it as the second best I'd seen them play -- just behind that insanely great No Deachunter show. More photos after the break

    I’ve seen No Age a few times at The Smell here in Los Angeles. Love their shows!

    i’m not the hugest No Age fan myself, but I agree no matter how big a fan I was nor how good the show the experience would be ruined for me after being covered in beer that is not my own. You got some nice shots of the show however, and I love the fact that he is wearing an Arabic Joy Division shirt.

    i got a full beer spilled on me at the Peaches show recently. i stayed for the whole show though haha I got peaches’ crotch in my face too.

    It was an awesome show – lots of new songs. Their show at the Ecstatic Peace Party at SXSW was a little better, a little louder – but the crowd was insane at this show. Lex shows were (from what I remember) traditionally pretty chill, so this was definitely the most excitable show I’ve ever seen there.

    The Arabic Joy Division shirt (assuming it actually says Joy Division in Arabic?) is way cooler than the Surfer Blood Joy Division shirt I saw that same night (which is actually just a Surfer Blood shirt that straight-up jacked the Unknown Pleasures album art).
