[VIDEO] M.I.A’s “Born Free” video is 9 mins long and NSFW

M.I.A. just posted this video for her new track “Born Free” via her twitter. Problem is that it seems to be blocked within the US. At least it’s blocked by UMG for me. I’m embedding it because other people seem to have no problem watching it. So enjoy what is apparently a nine-minute, NSFW video for this Suicide-sampling track.

I’ve generally had a distaste for MIA. But that…. was awesome. Interesting genre bending concept with a twist plus amazing Suicide sample and a punk rock slant. Didn’t see this coming. I stand corrected.

@bahryn the woman in that scene is also from T&EASGJ. She was on the most recent Tairy Greene Machine Episode. Now I see why @ericwareheim tweeted about this video (and not just because he makes music videos as well)…
Holy shit! I think that’s also Jackson O’Connell-Barlow from Grand Buffet! He’s the first red head w/ the beard that they show on the bus.
The whole thing leaves me feeling pretty unsettled.
