The video is the most elaborate musical put-down ever crafted. LCD soundsystem is trying to say that the artist Panda Bear of Animal Collective is working at his best to destroy music. This can be evidenced by the Panda screaming into the microphone at the end.

lolz. I think it’s a bit of stretch to say this is some veiled attack on Panda Bear from Animal Collective. Unless there’s something I don’t know, based on this video alone, I’d say that would be a pretty hasty interpretation. And besides, Panda Bear composes some seriously respectable work. Barring some personal insult, I doubt y’boi from LCD would have a musical gripe with y’boi Panda.

Sounds like a lot of songs…but they are all good songs, so I’m not really complaining. This video is what would happen if David Lynch had a sense of humor.
