Here’s the one we’ve all been waiting for! The first single off INXS’ Kick has gotten the covers treatment thanks to Beck’s installment of the Record Club. St. Vincent supplies breathy vocals to a pretty minimal cover of “Need You Tonight.” It’s fantastic in the completely opposite way that the original is fantastic. I do miss the guitar riff from the original, but as long as both can co-exist in the same world without creating a Lost-like sideways universe where I have to choose between versions, I’m happy to enjoy both INXS’ original and this great cover.
