Twenty minutes after I read that this story had been debunked and deleted my draft on it, /Film confirmed that the rumor is true: the Arcade Fire and Spike Jonze are working together on a new film.

As JAFB pointed out, John Estrata wrote on twitter that the Arcade Fire were currently in Austin to work with Jonze. From there it was a mad scramble to confirm/deny the story. Apparently AF’s publicist told Consequence of Sound that it was untrue, but now /Film is saying they’ve confirmed it with “the highest possible sources.” So believe it, fellas, two of the best in music and film are teaming up.
