I finally got to check out Avi Buffalo’s new record and was fairly impressed. It’s loaded with great pop songs that just might wind up being a key component of my spring soundtrack. And while this wasn’t my favorite song on the album, “Remember Last Time” is more than good enough to give you a taste for of the record.

If record labels were girls and their signees were boys, Avi Buffalo’s record might lead you to say that Sub Pop sure does have a type. Sure, Sub Pop flirts with the bad boys once in a while (No Age), but they really just love a good melody and some sunshiny pop music. And that’s OK, because I’m the exact same way.
