[MP3] new Disa: “Fast Train”
April 5th, 2010 by Matt

Last night I was all ready to settle in for some overdue sleep around 3am when I made the mistake of checking Myspace to see if there was any news to be gleaned from it. Turns out that was the wrong thing to do if I was looking to get to bed at a halfway reasonable time. Turns out that after months of waiting, Disa posted a studio version of her track “Fast Train” that I fell in love with last year. It may very well turn out to be one of my favorite songs of the year. Definitely a relaxing treat that fits in with this great weather.
MP3: Disa – Fast Train
I was really hoping this song would turn out well after being put through the studio. That live version is so unique that I was a little afraid that it might lose something when it was put to tape. That fear was unfounded in this case. I’ve listened to this song easily ten times in a row and, to be honest, I can’t wait to start the eleventh.
“I wrote down all my plans on pieces of paper / And then I folded them into planes to see if they fly / The wind will blow a change and I watch them scatter / But that don’t matter — I always change my mind.”

I listened to all the songs on her Myspace page and can’t say I really think they’re that similar. (Also I still think Disa is better, but that’s not really the point). Thanks for suggesting her, though.
