I always seem to wind up listening to Warpaint as background music, so it was great to see them live, where I can’t help but pay attention to them. They were a ton of fun to see and the girls all seemed to enjoy playing together. It was nice to see them occasionally shoot each other goofy glances mid-song; too much aloofness from other bands at the fest was about to get to me.

Unfortunately I could only enjoy their set for so long before I had to run on to the next band. SXSW, you are a cruel but enjoyable mistress.
