[VIDEO] Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s “Telephone” is the best possible use of insanity, product placement

What began as curiosity ended as… well, pleased confusion I guess. The first thing you’ll notice about the video for Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s new song “Telephone” is that it’s absolute madness. Like, completely crazy. They make Lady Gaga penis jokes, she wears easily a dozen costumes (cigarette sunglasses!), Beyonce says “motherf*cker” and the whole thing is basically a Tarantino-esque look back at exploitation flicks with bizarre dance sequences inserted in.

In short: Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s “Telephone” video is the “Thriller” of insane product placement music videos. The song is whatever (and I’m pro-Gaga, pro-Beyonce) but this will fill up your WTF quotient for the day.

  1. I really liked the video, but the ad placement was kind of silly…I actually like that it’s there, but would have preferred it to have been fictional brands, rather than virgin and little debbie

  2. ++1 for Tiberium in the poison mix, they did some nerd-research.

1 Find some obscure reference that will appeal to each fractured demographic
2 Be insanely weird so what ever you do will be accepted, so mash all that stuff together
