[MP3] new Sure Juror: “Shoulda-Couldas”

March 2nd, 2010 by Matt

Sure Juror have a new seven inch out now. It’s been a while since we’ve heard from them (apparently their computer crashed with their next record on it?) but this release is a nice return for them. Here’s the first track from it.

MP3: Sure Juror – Shoulda-Couldas
You might not remember what Sure Juror’s last album sounded like, but it’s really the only touchstone I can provide for “Shoulda-Couldas.” I guess if you put Harlem Shakes in the middle of a scale and Born Ruffians on one side, Sure Juror would be on the other side to level stuff out with a little more distortion and yelping? Whatever. It’s all just weirdo pop music that I love.

Sure Juror is working in long proud tradition of music that other musicians love but the general public doesn’t always get. I like it, so screw the GP. Their drummer plays in the style of Ringo Starr withe the intensity of Keith Moon, but I may be biased.
