WOXY has been giving a lot of love to Follow That Bird in the past few months, so I figured it was about time I checked them out. They’ve done a Lounge Act and were on that Casual Victim Pile compilation.

For some reason I was sure that Follow That Bird were going to be a folksy, poppy group. Not so! “The Ghosts That Wake You” is straight-up rock ‘n roll that will probably appeal to fans of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club — it’s got riffs, strong vocals and clips along at a quick pace. Fingers crossed that I can catch them at SXSW!
