Songs from Janelle Monae’s upcoming record are beginning to make their way onto the interwebs. Pitchfork just debuted her song “Tightrope” with Big Boi and now “Cold War” has made it online as well.

I’m loving both tracks. Her last release was pretty good (much better live), but this one sounds like it’s going to blow that one away. And hey, as long as it leads to more touring, I’ll be happy.

I love Janelle but it really has been time for her to release some new material for the past year.

Janelle Monae is in a category of her own! She never ceases to amaze me and I am glad she is back on the music scene in a major way! Her vocals are insane and her music is simply incredible! I hope she gets the recognition she truly deserves! JM, you rock!
