In 12 hours I’ve gone from knowing nothing about Efterklang to being convinced that they’re going to have a big impact on my 2010. I’ve got to buy/track down/see if I got a promo of their new album Magic Chairs (out 2/22) because this track is just fantastic.

The piano backing to this song is very light and classy in a Sufjan Stevens/tv commercial sort of way, but the vocals are punctuated and dramatic in a way that makes me think more of Owen Pallett or Patrick Wolf. It’s a really well put together track that is both soothing and stirring.
