After hearing Stephin Merritt’s interesting cover of Chris Knox, I was worried that he might have lost his previously golden touch with covers. I mean, this is the guy responsible for that awesome “If I Were a Rich Man” cover. Seems like it was just a minor bump, though, since this Peter Gabriel cover is pretty nice. It’s the returned favor of Peter including his version of the Magnetic Fields’ “the Book of Love” on his upcoming covers album Scratch My Back.
