Polyphonic Spree raising funds to film Invisible Children/Take Away Show documentary in Uganda
January 31st, 2010 by Matt

I love it when great music comes together with a great cause. Of course, I’d prefer it that the problem requiring the great cause didn’t exist, but this is second best.
The Polyphonic Spree and the Take Away Show are teaming up with non-profit organization Invisible Children to film a concert/interview series about the war in Uganda. They’ll be recording a TAS performance with two other bands as well as conducting interviews with those who have been affected by the war.
Now, as you can imagine this is a pretty expensive process for a non-profit organization and a small indie band. To raise the funds, they’ve started a Kickstarter account to raise the $20,000 required to get the whole crew over there and shoot the documentary. They’re currently 10% of the way there with just under 40 days to go. So if you can help them out, please do. Otherwise, be sure to pick up the DVD when it comes out.
