Clem Snide are releasing their new album The Meat of Life this February on 429 Records. Unfortunately they’ve asked that I don’t offer any songs for download (but you can stream two at their Myspace). They did, however, say that I can have an exclusive download of this cover Eef recorded of Asia’s “Heat of the Moment.”

Gotta give credit to Eef Barzelay for seamlessly turning a hand-clapping 80s pop hit into a slow, acoustic Americana ballad. Turns out when you slow down the track and remove the riff, there’s actually some halfway decent lyrics buried under there! Well done, Eef.
