[STREAM] new Joanna Newsom: “81″ // download 1hr+ of new material from a recent concert!
January 26th, 2010 by Matt

Though I’m a far cry from Joanna Newsom’s most dedicated fan, I have definitely warmed up to her over the past three years. And now, with the impending release of her triple album Have One On Me, it looks like I’ve got a good chance of having my fandom level upped yet again. I’ll be a rabid apologist before you know it. Have One On Me is out Feb 23 on Drag City.
Joanna Newsom – “81″ [streaming link]
“81″ is a beautiful harp/vocals piece in which Joanna annexes a portion of the Garden of Eden to call home. She puts her sweat into it and turns it into a respectable place for a garden party.
And as if this studio track wasn’t a good enough treat, Dave over at Rawkblog has unearthed a bootleg featuring seven new Newsom songs: go grab it

how’s the quality on the boot, have you listened yet? i don’t want to sully my experience of the new material with a poor mono boot.

I actually didn’t get a chance. I had to run off to work shortly after I posted this. I’d imagine it’s not the BEST quality. You can always download/stream one of the older songs to get a feel for it, though.

Thanks Matt! I can’t wait to catch her at MusicNow and I’m even more excited to find out she will be playing new music. A triple album… I might explode!
