I’ve really been enjoying Woodpigeon’s new album Die Stadt Muzikanten over the past month. Now, as an additional treat, Cover Lay Down posted a collection of Woodpigeon covers, ranging from Pink Floyd, Bjork, Abba to the Magnetic Fields. It’s a great set of covers.

There are some really adorable, sweet and tender songs in the Magnetic Fields’ lengthy catalogue, but “Asleep and Dreaming” might be the only one that’s downright vulnerable. It’s a quality to the song that Woodpigeon definitely amp up, to a really pleasing effect.
