KEXP shared this track as their song of the day a few days ago. I’ve ping ponged back and forth from really enjoying the track and feeling like I’d heard it before. But in the end I decided that if I’d listened to the song half a dozen times and found myself humming along, clearly there was enjoy love there for me to share it with you guys. That photo up above looks so somber, doesn’t it? Well completely disregard it, because this track is pretty sunny and peppy. Why all the pop music during the coldest months of the year? Well, like Kite Club (who I still adore), the Crayon Fields are from down under. So really, this catchy, Belle and Sebastian-meets-the-50s track is pretty spot on for their summer season.
