Bonnaroo lineup riddles start leaking out

Over at the Bonnaroo message board they’ve been driving themselves just about to the point of madness over the handful of clues that have leaked out so far. Normally we’ve got a bit more to go on by this point, but there are two hints as to what bands will be playing America’s best festival this year.
CLUE #1: “The one monkey that was the warmest and his offspring
CLUE #2: “Buddy when jolly”
CLUE #3: “A perfect finish to misspelled mill” [possibly '...misspelled meal']
CLUE #4: “Two talented acts in one clue, one is rockin, both are “lockin” ”
CLUE #5: “News that covers important topics”
CLUE #6: “find this music at amoeba but not the l.a. location”
CLUE #7: “he was there at the enlarged auditory but not in jelloland last year”
I’m pretty sure more will be posted today, definitely within the week. It’s a maddening thing to get involved with and this year seems likely to be the most cryptic yet. We should have the initial lineup in the first week of February. You can join the discussion or enlighten me with your guesses in the comments below.

Just wanted to say that I love your website. I downloaded the Radiohead Bonnaroo show from here like 3 and a half years ago. Still my favorite concert of all time. Keep up the good work. Can’t wait for Bonnaroo this year.

Oh, haha. Yeah, I’d like it if the Who were there. So far my money’s on The Who, the Arcade Fire and Jay-Z for headliners. That’s really based on next to nothing, though, haha

I DON’T think it will be Bob Dylan (or the Backstreet Boys… “i’ll quit playing games with your heart) But Further… a band led by Lesh and Weir in the 90s. Farther is a String Cheese Song. maybe???

Actually Farther is a PHISH song. And the band Further (which is mispelled on purpose) was just formed in 2009 (with Lesh and Weir) and just HAPPENS to be on tour this summer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furthur_(band)
