[MP3] new Morning Benders: “Promises”

The Morning Benders just tossed up this track from their new album Big Echo. And if you need another reason to check it out, the record is produced by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear.

From the sound of "Promises," it seems that Big Echo is going to be a pretty sizable step for the Morning Benders. They were a pretty straightforward pop act, but this is putting them into Bows + Arrows-era Walkmen or White Rabbits territory. It's a sly song where every element of it seems to serve as both percussion and melody.
