[MP3] Steve Goldberg and the Arch Enemies: “The Ballad of Cherry Hill”
January 7th, 2010 by Matt

Steve Goldberg’s new EP “Labyrinths” is out today. It’s been a long while since I wrote about him and that’s nobody’s fault but mine. He’s been churning out pop music since I knew him back on the Decemberists’ message board in 2005 and it seems he’s only gotten better with time.

The “Labyrinths” EP sounds like the Lucksmiths covering Bishop Allen with Beulah’s horn section helping out in the background. Sounds pretty perfect, huh? Well it just about lives up to the description. It’s some fantastic pop that makes me sad I have to share it on the day Kentucky is to be blanketed in a nice layer of snow. Oh well. We’ll still have this EP when it melts.
