So guys, what was it? Cutting out “Auld Lang Syne,” what was the first song you heard in 2010? It just might set the tone for your whole decade, so I hope it was a good one. And if you’ve yet to take in anything, might I suggest starting this year off with this one:

MP3: The Zombies – This Will Be Our Year

Happy new years, everyone!

  • Tiago

Actually… the decade is not over yet.

  • Matt

Tiago: most people divide up decades based on the last two numbers of the year. So yes, the newest millennium started in 2001 (because there is no year 0), but decades are most commonly divided up ’90-99, 2000-2009, etc. You wouldn’t say “the eighties”and mean to include the year 1990, would you?

  • BCM

Gorky’s zygotic mynci – Poodle Rockin’

  • Tiago

I wouldn’t, because 1990 is not an “eighty”. But I’d mean to include the year 2000 if I said “the twentieth century”, for instance. That’s why I avoid using “decade”.

Anyway, just don’t mind me, I’m grumpier than most people.
